Bojan slats up for AHL season after signing deal with Saginaw Spirit
Saginaws Spirit general manager Bojan Slat is getting his first crack at the AHL after signing a three-year contract extension with the team, the team announced on Wednesday.
Slat, 28, had spent the past three seasons with the Syracuse Crunch and was a part of the Crunch’s AHL championship team in 2016-17.
He has six goals and eight assists in 62 AHL games with the Spirit.
Slat has been skating with the NHL’s New Jersey Devils this season and is expected to be in line for an NHL roster spot for the upcoming season.
Slaten has played in more than 100 AHL games for the Crunch and Syracuse Crunch.
He was signed to an AHL contract by the Crunch on July 15, 2018.
He made his professional debut with the club in the 2015-16 season, appearing in nine games for Syracuse, scoring two goals and recording one assist.
