How Slate got a new name and its ‘unwanted’ legacy
Slate is getting a new website, but its current slate will likely not be as easy to navigate as the one in its name.
Slate’s new site is called Slate Grey, but it will be available for free to all users and it will have a slate-style font.
Slate Grey will be the first Slate-branded website since it went through a name change in 2016, after Slate Grey launched in 2017.
Slate will be making the slate-inspired design available for anyone to download.
Slate said it is also changing its name, “slate gray,” to Slate Grey.
The new Slate Grey website is a blank slate that will not contain any content.
Slate is the only major publication that uses Slate Grey to denote its brand identity, so it’s a welcome change.
Slate Gray has been around since 2012, when Slate launched Slate Grey Reader, which launched on September 4, 2018.
Slate and Slate Grey started their partnership in 2016 to create a new brand identity that included a new slate-esque font.
But when Slate Grey got out of the gate, Slate Grey’s design had a few shortcomings.
Slate grey was a lot more clunky than Slate Grey reader, which was the default design for Slate Grey users.
Slate did not have a website, and its website looked like Slate Grey would look like Slate Gray Reader.
Slate also had a logo that looked a lot like Slate grey, which caused a lot of confusion.
Slate has since made changes to the logo, which is a slightly smaller font, and it is more consistent.
Slate made Slate Grey an automatic upgrade to the Slate desktop and website in 2018, and Slate Gray users can now download Slate Grey from the desktop.
Slate says that Slate Grey is “the world’s first Slate product, with an exclusive Slate Grey branding” and “the only Slate Grey product that has been approved by the US Department of Commerce, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.”
Slate Grey has been a huge success, and now the company hopes that Slate users will start using it as a default slate name.
“Slate Grey is a Slate-exclusive product, and we are proud of our legacy as a Slate brand and of the many innovations we have made over the years,” Slate said in a statement.
“With the launch of Slate Grey this summer, we want to continue that legacy by delivering a slate that users will be excited to use.”
Slate Gray is also Slate’s first slate to be fully integrated with Slate’s desktop app.
Slate users can use Slate Grey on their desktop, as well as on the web, and they can access Slate Grey via the Slate apps for iOS, Android, and Windows 10.
Slate claims that Slate Gray will be able to be used on multiple platforms and will “offer new ways to connect with our readers and fans around the world.”
Slate also said that Slate’s “new Slate Grey brand identity will be free to use for Slate users, and you will be one of the first to download Slate Gray and begin using it.”
The company will also be launching Slate Grey for the iPad and the iPhone in 2018.
